Inclusion of ETFs in Stock Connect

The mutual stock market access between the Mainland and Hong Kong (Stock Connect) has been expanded to include eligible exchange-traded funds (ETFs), allowing Hong Kong and foreign investors to trade ETFs listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) and Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE), and those from Mainland to invest in Hong Kong-listed ETFs.

With its expanded scope from stocks to ETFs, the scheme is adhered to the same principal arrangement.
